With our collective training in interior design for Fashion and Textiles, we really enjoy the creative process of concept design at the beginning stages of a project. We look at every aspect of the project brief, and manage the creative process in conjunction with project management, procurement, logistics and installation. This includes the entire guest experience. “Everything the guest sees and touches is our concern”, such as furnishings, bed linen, buffet equipment, crockery, cutlery, staff uniforms, to name but a few of the “front of house” elements.
Design Project Management
This is where an interior design project begins and ends. Project management is the most critical part of the puzzle and is the design phase that ensures all the little pieces of the puzzle are carefully put together to ensure that the overall design concept is realized. The emphasis of design project management is on executing a successful project from design concept through to installation and keeping the project on track and within the predetermined budget.
We take a proactive approach to our project management, with structured upfront planning, organizing and management of resources to bring about the successful completion of a design project. When taking into account how structured and thorough we are in our project management methodologies, it is comforting to know that we are also flexible in our approach and are able to adapt to change or unexpected events with professionalism. From determining & managing budgets & timelines, we follow the full lifecycle of a project from the conceptual stage through to installation of the design.

Interior Design Logistics & Design Installation
These are the last couple of steps in the completion and execution of a design project. The logistics of ensuring all project goods reach their final destination is a meticulous task that requires experience, knowledge and a particular skill set.
As part of our service offering, we have a reliable network of local and international transporters to assist with the transport of all procured and custom made goods decided upon during the various design phases.
Logistics to remote areas can be a challenge, which is a challenge we enjoy and we look forward to solving every time we embark on a design project. Containers are filled and loaded onto trucks for long strenuous journeys through Africa. When working on remote Islands that cannot be reached by truck, and flying the goods onto the Island is not an option, we make use of boats, barges and even dhows to make sure all the materials required to implement the design are delivered in working order.
We are hands on when it comes to the installation of the elements that create the overall design as well as the design itself. We ensure that the original design concept is fulfilled and through constant interaction with the client, deliver a final product that not only meets expectations, but exceeds them.
Operational Procurement Support
With our design experience and understanding of the hospitality industry, as well as through strong demand, we venture beyond our standard service offering and lend ongoing support to our clients after a design project is complete. This includes the procurement of any requirements the client may have on a month-to-month basis. These needs arise through general wear & tear, breakages, losses or simple consumption of “perishable” goods. Eg: Candles, guest amenities etc. By offering this additional design and/or project support we are able to facilitate the longevity of a design project in order for our clients to get the most out of their investment with us and their overall design.
