We initially worked as colleagues at Abercrombie & Kent in their development division and quickly became friends, with every intention of being business partners in the future.

Lucy Eaton Corder Consulting has been in operation since 2004. In this time, we have been privileged to work in the most exquisite places and with the most wonderful clients.

It has been amazing to see the diverse landscape of our country, and the neighbouring countries that we have worked in such as Mozambique, Botswana, Namibia and Zambia. Africa is our inspiration.

Almost all our projects have taken us either to the islands off the coast of Mozambique or into the thick African bush, both of which from a project management and logistic perspective has proven extremely challenging. But by working closely with competent team members on site and hours of careful planning, we have yet to fail at achieving our objectives, which is timely execution of installations. We have also been fortunate enough to spend time in the rural areas, gathering ideas which have enabled us to deliver authentic interiors which reflect the region and the strong history of trading along this coastline.

Authenticity

After doing extensive research and gleaning a full understanding of a project brief, we carefully weave the local look and feel into our designs.
We believe every project has a culture, history, and craft that is unique to the region. These must be drawn upon to create authentic guest experiences. It’s about telling their stories through our design interpretation, that will enable the guests to have a unique experience and understanding of the region.

Sustainability

When taking on a project we always consider the sites locality, culture, and resources. Where possible we source locally sustainable materials, and work with local craftsman to provide a longevity to both the project, the community, and the environment.

Personal Commitment

We work alongside the client to understand their needs by conducting an audit of requirements. We then skillfully combine the information to deliver a personalized service that is unique, reliable, honest, and timely.
We believe that integrity and transparency are very important values to standby in a business relationship.
