Design Concept

With our collective training and experience in various design disciplines, we thoroughly enjoy this stage of the project.  Not only is it the birth of the design language of the project and should therefore not be rushed, but it is critical to understand the culture, the social dynamics, and the region in order to deliver a truly authentic product.

Project  Management

Project management is the most critical part of the overall puzzle.  It is essential that there is a clear directive to ensure that the design concept is realized as we intended it.

We take a proactive approach in this phase, with stringent upfront planning, organization and management of all resources.  However, when taking into account how structured and thorough we are in our project management methodologies, be comforted in the fact that we are equally flexible in our approach and are able to adapt to change or unexpected events with professionalism.

Procurement

Procurement is an integral part of any interior designing project.  We have successfully executed many local and international hospitality, retail and residential design projects, using our extensive database of local (South African) and International suppliers.  Where possible though we engage with local manufactures and craftsman from the area where the project is situated to include home grown custom pieces.  Though we specialize in FF&E (Furniture, Fittings & Equipment) and OS&E (Operational supplies & Equipment) items related to the project, we have in the past assisted in the purchasing of anything and everything from building supplies to motorboats.

Our scope of work covers all needs for new projects & refurbishments, as well as ongoing procurement of operational items on a day to day basis. We ensure that we always meet the highest standard of cost control by guaranteeing we deliver the project within the agreed budget.

Customer service and quality products are our specialty.

Interior Design Logistics & Installation

Because of our love of remote places, logistics can be extremely challenging.  However, we have built a team of reliable service providers in this regard, and with careful planning and methodical procedures, we have yet to fail at achieving our objective of executing timely installations.  

These are the last few steps in the completion and execution of a design project. The logistics of ensuring all goods reach their final destination requires experience, knowledge and a particular skill set which we have.

Logistics to remote areas can be a challenge to say the least.   A challenge we enjoy and we look forward to solving every time we embark on a new project.

We are hands on when it comes to the installation .  We ensure that the original design concept is fulfilled and through constant interaction with the client, deliver a final product that not only meets expectations, but exceeds them.

Operational  Procurement  Support

With our design experience and understanding of the hospitality industry, as well as through strong demand, we venture beyond our standard service offering and lend ongoing support to our clients after a design project is complete. This includes the procurement of any requirements the client may have on a month-to-month basis. These needs arise through general wear & tear, breakages, losses or simple consumption of “perishable” goods. Eg: candles, guest amenities etc.  By offering this additional design and/or project support we are able to facilitate the longevity of a project in order for our clients to get the most out of their investment with us and their overall design.
