Inspiration – The extreme beauty of the surroundings, where rugged mountains give life to extraordinary fynbos, and the ever changing view of the Tafelberg that the lodge looks onto.
Our client pulled together a team of professionals based all over the world, to realise his dream of building a lodge where he could both entertain his clients and spend uninterrupted time with his family. Being a South African that has lived abroad for 30 years, he wanted something that reflected a strong sense of place. We drew inspiration from the views and fynbos colours, and included a representation of the Sable antelope after which his company is named. The interiors were to be beautiful, regal and bold like the antelope after which it was named.
